What makes a personal care community different from a typical assisted living facility?
License or Certification
Personal care homes are licensed by the Office of Inspector General, while assisted living communities are certified by the Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living. A Personal Care community allows residents to age in place longer before a higher level of care may be required.
Bluegrass Senior Living invites residents to live life on their own terms in a comfortable setting that feels like home. Amenities such as restaurant-style dining, housekeeping, laundry services, transportation, and maintenance-free apartments allow residents the freedom to enjoy an active and independent lifestyle.
Model of Care
Enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing licensed nurses are on-site 24 hours a day. Residents may receive assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing, medication management (including diabetes management and insulin shot injection) and much more. A pendant response system will summon help at any time of the day or night. When an emergency happens, having a nurse on site is something many seniors – and their families – desire for peace of mind.
