COVID-19 vaccine to be made a priority for senior living communities

Bluegrass Senior Living is closely monitoring updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), State Departments of Health, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding various COVID-19 vaccine candidates. Based on current information, the first vaccines may be authorized for use by January 2021. We expect our residents and staff to be among the first to be eligible for the vaccine as healthcare workers and older adults.

Once a vaccine is deemed safe for public use, our executive clinical team will review all data of the approved vaccine prior to its distribution to any of our residents or employees. We are currently working to create guidelines and procedures to support a smooth vaccination process.

As we learn more, we will continue to communicate with our families, residents and staff. We intend to provide accurate and complete information to help you in making informed decisions. Please be on the lookout for additional communications from us in the coming weeks.
